250 years of Beethoven--the original rock star who changed music forever!  For as much as he struggled with faith, he poured everything into the Missa Solemnis, which one critic called “an avalanche released by a speck of dust.”  An all-star cast of vocalists and the Colorado Springs Chorale make this an essential celebration of Beethoven’s life.

Musical legends come to life in a stunning program from Classical to Blues and everything in between.  The Chamber Orchestra is joined by Dr. Gregory Walker of the University of Denver, performing a piece written for him by his father, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer George Walker.  Local trumpet prodigy Sophie Urban performs Enesco’s powerful Légende before she leaves for college, and soloists from the orchestra explore the American sound of Howard Hanson.  With a soulful Blues and a playful Haydn symphony, the Chamber Orchestra ends its season in celebration.
