ABOUT THE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA OF THE SPRINGS
The Chamber Orchestra of the Springs is the Pikes Peak region’s premier chamber ensemble and membership is by audition only. The orchestra includes musicians from all along the Front Range including Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Woodland Park, Florissant, Cripple Creek, Divide, Monument, Black Forest, Falcon and beyond. Performing a six concert season, the orchestra currently makes its home in three local churches; First Christian Church, Broadmoor Community Church and First United Methodist Church. Under the direction of Music Director, Thomas Wilson, the orchestra convenes for 4 rehearsal services the week preceding each concert weekend. Concert weekends include a Saturday evening performance and a Sunday matinee repeat performance (or Sunday only matinee). Information on musician compensation for each open position and substitute opportunities can be obtained directly from our personnel manager.
