EMERGING SOLOIST COMPETITION
The Chamber Orchestra of the Springs in Colorado Springs, Colorado is sponsoring a competitive performance opportunity for young emerging soloists in our 2020-2021 concert season. The orchestra, currently in its 36th season, is the region's premier chamber ensemble. Under the dynamic leadership of Maestro Thomas Wilson, the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs pursues artistic vibrancy by approaching standard repertoire, forgotten gems, and new music with equal zest in an exploratory spirit.
The EMERGING SOLOIST COMPETITION aims to provide young musicians who are pursing a performance career with an opportunity to be featured on an orchestra's regular subscription concert series. Our organization, including our patrons and audience, look forward to hearing what the next generation of soloists bring to the concert stage in both style and repertoire choice. One winner will chosen to perform on one of our subscription concert series in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In addition, the winner will be awarded $1,500 plus travel allowance up to $500, and archival video/audio recordings of their performance. |
