Taylor Memorial Concert:
"Music for Choir and Orchestra"
The Taylor Choir and the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs
at Grace-St. Stephen's Episcopal Church
Sunday March 12, 2017, 3pm

Maestro Thomas Wilson leads the Taylor Choir of Grace and St. Stephen's and the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs in a special afternoon of music for choir and orchestra. The program features Josef Rheinberger's complete Mass in C Major, for chorus, soloists, string orchestra and organ.  Rheinberger, a German composer, organist and conductor based in Munich, was quite prolific and successful in his day. Today, he is best remembered for his organ and sacred choral works, including more than a dozen Masses.   The Chamber Orchestra will also perform Edward Grieg's Holberg Suite.

Taylor Concerts are presented in Grace and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, at the corner of Tejon and Monument in downtown Colorado Springs, and are made possible through a generous gift from Alice Bemis Taylor in memory of her husband, Frederick Morgan Taylor.  All Taylor Concerts begin at 3:00 pm, and are free and open to the public.
