SURVEY: THE KNOCK
We deeply appreciate your feedback as we determine the venue for our next Opera 2030 production. Your survey responses will help guide our decision-making process about this show.
Please use the 3-question survey below to let us know your thoughts, and we will keep in touch with you about The Knock.
The Knock Survey
We believe that telling military stories is most effectively done on military bases, which is why we planned to host The Knock at the US Air Force Academy’s Arnold Hall, just like our performance of Glory Denied in April 2024.
However, due to recent changes to the Academy’s security protocols, it is now required that every guest pre-register with the Academy prior to entering the base. This registration would require advance submission to the Academy of:
Your Name
Your Date of Birth & Phone Number
Your Driver’s License Number
Your Social Security Number
This information would be submitted directly to the Academy via an internet link that would be specific to our performance. At no point would the Chamber Orchestra be able to view this information.
QUESTIONS
The Knock is an opera that explores the lives of military spouses on Colorado Springs’ Fort Carson, who await word about a deadly incident on the battlefront. At the same time, a young Army officer makes the journey to where they are gathered to deliver the news that one of their husbands has died.
Based on years of interviews with American military spouses, The Knock shines a light on a side of military service that often goes unseen, exposing how the tragedy of war permeates through an entire community.
